Common questions
Steps not syncing
- iPhone: Allow Stompa to read Steps in Settings → Health → Data Access → Stompa. Enable Background App Refresh for Stompa.
- Android: Install Health Connect, grant Stompa permission to read steps, and allow background access if prompted.
- Open Stompa and pull to refresh on Home or a group leaderboard.
- Step totals sync as daily aggregates — not live second-by-second counts.
Joining a group
- Use an invite link (
stompa://join/…or stompa.uk/join/…). - Or enter a join code and PIN from the group admin (Social → Join with code).
- Accept a group invite from a friend in your notifications inbox.
Friend requests and invites
- Incoming friend requests appear on the Social tab under Friends.
- Group invites from friends appear in your notifications (bell icon on Home).
- You cannot add yourself as a friend or invite yourself to a group.
Stompa Pro and billing
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not directly by Stompa.
- Use Restore purchase on the Pro paywall if you changed devices.
- Use Manage on the Pro paywall to open store subscription settings.
- For refunds, contact Apple Support or Google Play support — store policies apply.
Notifications
- Enable notifications for Stompa in your device settings.
- If you have both Stompa and Stompa Dev installed, sign into one account per app to avoid duplicate alerts.
